Pure Geometry - An Encounter of Latin America and Spain

The New York Public Library in collaboration with El Centro Español  – La Nacional, the Gallery CosmoArte Siglo XXV, present the exhibi: Pure Geometry - An Encounter of Latin America and Spain.
In this exhibit, visual art is combined into a single idea, the simplification of nature, pure geometry.
The artists: José María Yturralde (Spain), Estuardo Maldonado (Ecuador) and Monica Sarmiento Castillo (Ecuador/Spain) will be presenting their works in the tradition of the Constructivist Movement and more specifically the Three-Dimentionalist work, a style created by the artist Estuardo Maldonado.
Opening Reception  Friday, May 4th, 2012   6:00 - 7:30 pm
Conference: "Pure Geometry"  Monday, May 7th, 2012  6:30 pm
Place: Corner Room - Mid-Manhattan Library 
The exhibit will be ongoing until June 3rd and open to the public from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.   Saturdays open from 10am - 5pm and   Sundays 10am - 5pm.
